london's elephant and castle currently being socially deprived and sprawls with crime is desperately in need of a hero..well there is a saying, that the best way to a persons heart is through their stomach...

the masterplan of e+c which is currently being designed promises an enormous park in the center with a market beside it divided by a cultural block. it is said that this area will be most public and busy.

an intervention, "the garden institution" is imagined to grow on this park...weaving the parks social activities with farming and food growing. the food grown will be conveyed to a barn where the produce be processed and will be sold straight to the market.

however, this simple transaction of food production and trading serves as a more ambiguous purpose than it seems. the garden institution will use these tools to acquire the communities trust and fooling them into believing that it is the main factory for their food..whilst actually educating them about the importance of growing their own food in their own backyard. the farm park will provide allotments and soil for the community to personally own under the allotments act 1922.

schools will be provided for educating the community on methods of farming as well as cooking healthy food seasonally/sustainably. the schools and restaurants will source food from the farm park as well as the market accessed by only walking through connecting 1:15 habitational ramps. educational paths run throughout the whole site cutting through every detail of the garden institution and its intestines...
