questions of materiality

the proposed site of the garden institution currently houses the heygate estate, which was home to thousands of people. known for its shady corridors and crime, it is still loved by the people who have lived there for years and call it home. destined to be knocked down for the new development, the garden institution will harvest the demolition debris and use it for its own.
